An Intra-Company Transfer Work Visa (ICT) in South Africa allows multinational companies to transfer their employees from a foreign office to a branch, subsidiary, or affiliate in South Africa. This visa is typically issued for highly skilled employees, senior executives or otherwise technical expertise for an assignment period of up to four years. SOUTH AFRICAN GENERAL WORK VISA

The General Work Visa is intended for foreign nationals who wish to work in the South Africa but do not necessarily qualify for the positions listed on the Critical Skills List. The Minister of Home Affairs has in October 2024 introduce a Points-Based System for adjudication of General Work Visas, and waived the need to apply for a Department of Employment and Labour Certificate.

BENEFITS​

  • If you have held a General Work Visa for five consecutive years, you may qualify for a South African Permanent Residency.​
