The briefing follows an announcement by President Cyril Ramaphosa on changes to the visa regime as part of the economic stimulus and recovery plan.
Most noted have been announcements around the following issues –
- The visa requirements for highly skilled foreigners will be revised;
- The regulations on the travel of minors will be relaxed;
- The list of countries requiring visas for South Africa will be reviewed; and
- An e-visa pilot will be implemented.
