SOUTH AFRICAN CORPORATE VISA

WHAT IS A SOUTH AFRICAN CORPORATE VISA?
A South African Corporate Visa is a type of visa that allows registered South African companies to employ a specified number of foreign nationals in specific roles. This visa is designed to address critical skills shortages within the company by enabling it to recruit qualified foreign employees. The Corporate Visa streamlines the process by allowing the employer to sponsor multiple employees under one permit, rather than requiring individual work visas for each foreign national. To qualify, the employer must demonstrate the need for foreign workers and comply with regulatory requirements, including labour market testing, demonstrating efforts to recruit locally, and adherence to Department of Home Affairs guideline

STEPS TO OBTAIN A CORPORATE VISA

STEP 1

Corporates are required to apply first apply for a Department of Employment and Labour Recommendation Ccertificate. The Department of Labour process may prove to be tedious. The company will undergo a compliance inspection of the employer’s premises and is required to prove job opportunities are not taken away from South African citizens before finalising the Labour Certificate application made to the Department of Employment and Labour. Our market-leading approach enables us to facilitate this process for employers and corporates ensuring that they have all the documentation required and complete the necessary processes before approaching the Department of Employment and Labour. We have secured numerous corporate work visas for a range of employers and corporates across industries, including renewal applications.

STEP 2

Once the Department of Employment and Labour Recommendation Ccertificate has been successfully obtained, we lodge an application with the Department of Home Affairs for the Corporate Visa itself. In the application, we ensure we have the required details of the company to provide proof of the need to employ the requested number of foreigners.

STEP 3

Once the company has received the South African Corporate Visa, we will then assist with the individual applications for the expatriate’s visas under the umbrella of the Corporate Visa as prescribed. The processing times for the individual applications may vary depending on the country of submission. However, the average timeframe for approval is 3 – 6 weeks. There are also special processes to streamline the individual endorsements.
